Low Cost workshop for those experiencing Anxiety and Depression
A series of workshops run over 9 weeks for people who are not able to access services easily. The cost of the sessions is on a donation basis, just pay what is affordable. Groups will be no more that 6 – 8. The workshops offer a safe and supportive space as well as an insight into anxiety and the way in which it can affect our lives.
Workshops facilitated by Ross McKay - you can find out more by contacting Ross here: www.rossmackaycounselling.co.uk/
MEN AND COUNSELLING?
Facilitated by: Adam Goward Dip. Couns MBACP
Are men more reluctant than women to seek help from a counsellor?
Is there a stigma attached to emotional distress/mental health?
Is seeking help a sign of weakness?
How does telling someone else my issue help me?
Counselling is really a women’s thing right?
What does the counsellor do to me?
How long does it take?
Have you ever thought about seeing a counsellor or wondered what counselling is about? Adam will be running a group session open to men only, with the aim of answering any questions about counselling that you may have. Above are just some questions that could come up, though you are encouraged you to ask whatever you like, as well as to share your views as well. While this is not primarily intended as group therapy, there is the opportunity for the group to develop, as some may wish to disclose personal information. All attending agree to a group confidentiality contract. Duration will be an hour to an hour and a half, depending on numbers, small groups of 4 to 6 are expected.
